About Our Curriculum
At Lock.in, we offer two programs each year designed to help people learn effectively.
1. Build Program
The Build program is for beginners and anyone looking to start coding. It introduces the world of computer science through hands-on projects, because we believe the best way to learn is by building something and getting your hands dirty. Participants will learn programming fundamentals, problem-solving, and practical skills while creating real projects from scratch.
2. Ship Program
The Ship program is designed for mid- to senior-level engineers and computer scientists. It covers advanced and specialized topics, including in-depth areas like game design. This program is optional since BUILD is enough for a good career in the field, but we recommend taking it after gaining some professional experience or working in the industry, so you can get the most out of the advanced curriculum.
Program Duration
The Build program runs from February 9th to May, while the Ship program runs from June to September. Both provide hands-on learning and support to help students complete projects and gain confidence in coding.
How You'll Learn
Both programs are delivered fully online, so you can participate from anywhere. The Build program runs from February 9th to May, and the Ship program runs from June to September. Each program offers hands-on projects and guidance to help you build real skills and gain confidence in coding. Hackathons and other events are held in person, unless we specify otherwise.
Pricing
The cost for each program is 5,000 KSH (≈ $38.76). Payment is flexible and can be made in two installments: half to start the program, and the remaining balance at a later stage. For more details on available payment options, Payment Instructions.
